Ivermectin injected vs oral debate

So who's right? I keep reading and hearing from vets contrasting statements on how to best deliver Ivermection 1% injectable. Half claim for goats it's most effective by mouth while the other half says orally just doesn't stay in the system long enough to take care of parasites and in fact, a waste of money given this way.
What are your opinons and what does the science say about this?

If it goes in orally, it's in the digestive system. Then it would go into the stomach and intestines and be absorbed and excreted.

If it's given injectable, it's filtered immediately by the kidneys and excreted.

I go with the expert goat ladies, not the vets who didn't study goats in college.

I do it orally because of what I have learned on this forum and my Vet agrees.

It's not just goat gals who know by fecal sampling...it is also all the major Universities with goat studies...all wormers are given orally to the goat to keep the time it has to work slowed down in the goats quick metabolisim.

Now does it work on the worms you have on your farm???...that is a completely different debate. vicki

I've always done orally as well, but so frustrating to see the opposite info being circulated. I saw on one so-called goat health website to always inject wormers as orally just doesn't stay in the sytem long enough, when in fact it's just the opposite.
