winter feeding

Is there something different that you feed goats during the winter? I plan giving extra hay, and they already get alfalfa pellets and boss. Anything else?

I don't think you have the climate for it, but I grow a couple of acres of wheat in the winter and let them graze it off and on all winter.

This year one of the two acres I sowed into wheat did not do so well, so that won't be as good for me this year.

Yes grain when 100 days bred.

Depending upon how severe your climate is, BOSS alone may no be enough energy for your goats to stay in good condition while bred. Vicki
