I think she ought to be pg...
but I cannot tell My nigerian dwarf goat Mia she's such a sweetie pie, and we borrowed a buck and put him with her for the entire month of May... he smelled horrid.. that icky bucky smell, and we never did actually see them doing the deed ya know.
In hind sight, his name was Rue Paul... rofl... maybe he just couldnt do the job we got him for? hehehe anyway, with a full month to accomplish the mission, she should be due the last day of October or the first couple of days of November... but I cant even tell if she's bred or not. SIGH
we have a NDG buckling too that has been sniffing her lately, not her kid, and should be old enough to breed her now if not soon. so if they run together all the time, how do you ever know when to expect a kid?

You don't! and you go crazy The only sure way to find out if they are pregos (from what I have read here) is to have a blood test done. As far as the due date, that's why some people use those markers so they know when the deed is done to figure out the due date.

I would lose my mind if I didn't know when my girls were going to kid!!!!! I hand breed for that reason and because I will NEVER again have babies in February in NE Vermont. It isn't fit for man, beast, or kid at that time of year.

Well... yikes... LOL.
how hard is it to draw blood on a goat to do the biotracking test?
and why dont they just make pee tests for cows and goats??? wouldnt that just be too easy? well, sure, you have to stand around and wait for them to pee, right, but it seems they do that all the time anyway maybe if you turn on the hose you can inspire a tinkle, like when you use the faucet when you need to pee... LOL

LOL! I was thinking the same thing as I was responding to your op! I wonder if a pregnancy test from the pharmacy would work....that would be great! Just stick the little wand under their pee flow and watch for a + or -

You know one of us ought to invent one and patent it if it isn't already out there. But I have yet to hear of a home/barn pregnancy test for goats. We could make millions-notice I say "we" even though I had nothing to do with the idea? I am sneaky, huh?

One would only have to figure out what protein is present in a pg goat that is not present in a non pg goat. The wand would have to be sensitive for this particular protein then you have a preg test for goats.

I know they make the urine tests for horses... hahahaha I bought one when I rescued an old mare and suspected pregnancy [thankfully, it was negative]. Human pregnancy tests won't work because it's testing for a different hormone, so I've heard.
Bloodwork, ultrasound, or wait and see.

Biotracking is supposedly working on a home pregnancy test, taking their sweet time though. I had hoped they would have it for this years breeding season.
