My comeuppance...

I have set and laughed at the back and forth on how noisy goats are, especially nubians.

Well, here is my story...my dd has had nubians for two years now. She started with a single nubian doe, and yep she was noisy, so she got nicknamed NaNa.

Then she added a Toggenburg doe and two more nubians and all of a sudden she was quiet and it was the togg who did all the talking. So I set back and laughed at everyone saying how noisy nubians were.

But now I have gotten my comeuppance...she sold the Togg and now Nana has taken back the vocal challenge. You would think someone was dying on a daily/hourly basis. So much for our "Quiet" nubians!

In my experience it never a good thing to categorize anyone or anything, because just as sure as you do - they will make a liar out of you!
At least you seem to have a sense of humor about it - another very good thing to have when raising animals, children or even plants! LOL

Yes, and now she is being bossy at her new home! I miss her though, she and I got along well.

Maybe that's why your nubian got quiet for a while and now she's herd queen again so she thinks she has to let everyone know it.
