they are probably all in danger of being STUCK in a head down, eyes on the ground position forever!  Carla (older black & tan doe will stand under a tree -once all the fallen fruits are gone- and watch & wait, watch & wait..until a breeze blows one more sweetie to the ground.. she will follow it as it falls & POUNCE on it!!! Edith knows I have the *power* to knock extras to the ground. She keeps an eye on me.. if she sees me pick up a big, long stick.. she comes barreling at me, full speed..she knows the stick means we are going to play *persimmon pinata* .... Living in the Ozarks, we have a LOT more oak trees. I'll be almost happy when the persimmons are done and they go back to acorns & fallen fall leaves. The entire herd's energy is very edgy right now..
