where can I find kefir starter?

I bought my last batch at Hoegger but now they only sell the starters that are good for one time only. Same with Caprine Supply. Anyone know where I can get some that you can re-use the grains? Thank you!

How on earth can they sell one-time-only starters? Either it is alive or it isn't. I suspect a plan to sell lots more starters.

Katey, it isn't really kefir, it's a powdered culter that is similar in taste/texture, but doesn't have all the same benefits, and doesn't grow.

I would also like to know where I can get kefir grains.

ETA: Never mind. I found Rick's post to trade kefir grains for homemade soap, of which I have plenty.
