More price hikes
Just found out that cattle panels have jumped from $16.00 per panel to $24.99 per panel. They said the next shipment may be even higher. Glad I'm not needing to buy........

Wow and I thought $16 was high, I'd like a few panels to use in the garden but I'll try to get some used ones. Thanks for letting us know about the price hike

They've been over $20 here for more than a year! Not sure what they are now but I'm sure they are in the $30 range at this point.
Went to an auction last summer and used ones were bringing the same price as new! The recyling centers are paying well for metals and thats jacking prices up even at auctions here you can normally catch a deal :-(

Yeah MFA jumped up on their prices about 3 months ago. We "were" buying paneling, now it's just too much for us, unless we go even more slowly at building up.
The wire I used for building rabbit cages also went up from 6 dollars to 9. UGH! What a leap.. and now our local MFA closed shop today! So we will have to go to MG, or travel to Houston. Bummer...

There is a shortage of steel. Hubby works in the oilfield, and they are having trouble getting quality pipe to drill and complete the wells.

Steel is buying bought up by the highest bidder (CHINA). We are getting what's left and paying the price for it. Same goes for diesel, overseas industrial powers are beating up to the punch. Expect more of the same...sad but true.

I remember, not so long ago, paying $11.95 for stock panels! I am so glad all the fencing I need has been done. Thank goodness! These price hikes are killers.

They're hiking the prices because they know I need to fence in my yard and I want to do it with panels to make them as durable as possible.. The whole world is against me, I tell ya..

I know a fellow who has 30 acres fenced and cross fenced with cattle panels, think about that$$$$$ He's a rich man as far as cattle panels go...Price increases in all categories have forced me to changed my animal raising techniques. The animals will never suffer, but are just losing a few luxuries...good luck everyone....TJ

Wow, I wish I could get them for $20!! I get the combo panels...they have been $35 for quite some time now. Went to the feed store the other day and he said next shipment is going to jump to $43 per panel!!! He is holding the 5 he has remaining at $35 for me...picking them up next week. A month ago I had some ordered at another feed store. He told me they would probably be around $35, when they came in he told me they were $45....I thought this particular feed store was trying to rip me off until I talked to the other one (he did sell them to me for $38 though).
Why is it Florida always takes the biggest hit on prices?!

Wow, combo panels up here are well over $50 for 42" x 16', IIRC. I just looked at some last week and was upset at the cost but the alternatives are not much better cost and they aren't as effective for the goats.

I think you guys are meaning the "pipe" type combo panels, commonly used as round pens for horses? If you are... Emily is meaning the metal "wire" cow panels... about 4 ft tall and 16 ft long. They look like the pig wire panels but taller.

Tractor Supply now has red top brand fence wire for $159.00 a roll. I sure am glad I don't need any/much.

No, I mean the wire panels that are welded. I put their size in my earlier post.
Pipe panels here are often over $165 for one 12' x 5', four-bar panel. No comparison at all (and my goats go right through the horse/corral/round pen panels).

Cattle Panels are $24.99, Combo Panels are over $30. I've never used the Combo Panels, but at that price they are now a better buy.

just a little bug on tsc guidelines. If you call for instance a store in CA and somethings cheaper in Ga they if I understood correctly have to price match tsc price to tsc price.
Our pannels I think run 22 right now

i called just yesterday about those 4inch holed panels, like used to make a hay feeder, and it was $30! ouch! on the place we are moving to, we took out MANY cattle panels and i was pretty happy, lots of 'free' goat fencing--now i think i'll go lock it up!! wow! we have a gold mine in panels!
prices of things are really hurting us all, i hear it every time i go to town--which isn't alot since it costs too much to get there!

last winter cattle pannels were 20 at mfa and now are 25. I was fortunate and purchased 35 from someone who was getting out of goats. They were only a year old and payed 300 for all of them. What that dont take care of is going to be electric fence. Cant afford it. If it was not for mowing and bailing our own hay I dont know what we would do.
