new baby Llama

Not forsure where to put this. our momma Llama had a baby today. I am giving her a few days before we get close enough to see if we have a boy or girl. but we are proud grandparents. Hope to move her to the front lot by the road so everyone can see the new baby. we have a lot of folks here that ride by just to see the Llamas. The will be so surprised. It is brown like it's parents Ben And Jerideen Seems to have white on it's butt. I will call the vet tomorrow to see if I need anything special. Old hand at goats, new at Llamas. If there are any Llama owners out there that have advise feel free to shout out. :banana02:

I'm an alpaca owner and we just had our first baby born too. Let me know if I can help in any way. Congratulations!

I have a six month old lapaca (mama llama, daddy alpaca). The only advice I would give is to spend time with it and teach it early how to halter and lead nicely. I am sure you can agree with me that it's much easier to train a small llama as apposed to a big (and strong) llama.

Our baby Llama is a girl. we named her Dolly. She is so friendly and lets us love her up. Momma is even freindlier and easier to touch and be with. Of course everyone has to come and see her. we moved her away form the boys and in her own pen area. she has 2 small goats with her now but will move them soon. we are picking up a new goat to night. she is still being milked so I am looking forward to the milk for soap and such.
