Anyone else regretting those decisions to breed for July/August?

I feel bad for JayJay and Della. Bianca, Kaliedascope and Sable look pretty miserable as well.
We had to pause for two months during breeding season because a stray bull settled most of the cow herd and there was no way I was going to kid out does when we were calving out milking cows/heifers. Good thing, too, as we had 18 calves born in one month. Most of them were out of first calf heifers.
Now, the third group of does are preparing to kid. JayJay is just huge. A 7 year old Alpine doe who I hope will make up for the single polled NuPine buckling she had last year. She and Ghiradelli (Della) are both settled to our polled Nubian herdsire, Rudy. Della is a stunning two year old. I am incredibly excited about these two freshening.
We then have about a 10 day break before the other 6-10 are due in August. More are settled than I originally expected.
Did I mention it is just about time to start breeding again?
I don't think I will make this a habit, however. It is just too hot and humid to have heavy bred does wandering around.
Anyone else waiting patiently (or not so) for does yet to kid?

OHhhhh poor MeeMa. She looks like she's going to have a herd any day now. She's not my goat anymore but I have daily visiting rights. We've had such hot and humid days and SHE IS suffering. Paul

Well I felt really bad for Mimi because she is black and was not suppose to be pregnant. I was so glad when she finally had them. Lute clearly did not work on her.
The Nigerians I did not get until Mid-Feb and I wanted to be them pregnant before they arrived but it did not happen. So I bred them for milk and sales instead of waiting for months. I would have preferred to wait but moneywise it would not have worked out so well.
