Kids/Electric Fence

Our goat finally had 2 babies tonight... we've been waiting for what seems like months for her to "pop". This is our first experiance with newborn goats. Just wondering how safe the electric fence is for them. We keep all of our goats in with the elec. fence and have great sucess but is electricity worse on freshly born kids? We've got them in a safe spot so I'm not too worried about them getting near the fence but I guess you never know...

thanks

They will hang close to mom for a while, and she will keep them away from the fence.

They will probably touch it once when they are older.

It wont do them any real harm. They will "nose" it a time or two and quickly learn to stay away from it.
It's BEST to let them find out about electric fences at a young age, so they respect them later on
