Registration PAPER questions...
So, I got my registration papers back for my three american alpine doelings and two french alpine doelings. They're sold and at their new home but I'm keeping the papers to ensure payment for them etc.
Anywho, I've got two questions:
1. I thought American Alpine papers were printed on off-white paper? Mine are just as bright as the french alpine papers... though their American dam's papers are on off white...
2. The authenticity oval is not red and doesn't change color. It's just white.
Should I contact the ADGA?

By French alpines I assume you mean purebreds as opposed to the americans. Both pb and american reg papers are blue. Recorded grades are tannish colored paper.
The ovals on the papers I recently received are hardly even pink. It does disappear when I breathe on it and it takes about 45 seconds for the pink to slowly reappear.
I'd be more concerned with proofing all the info on the papers. Yes, they try very hard to get all the details correct, but mistakes do happen.
Congrats on selling your does!

Well, my american's papers are on tannish paper... blue ink. The french alpine does had white paper and blue ink. All my new papers, american and purebred (french) are on white.
The ovals have NO pink, nothing disappears. Should I worry?

I wouldn't worry about the colored ovals.
What does it say at the top of the paper right under the words "Certificate of Registry"? It should say either Purebred, American, Experimental, Recorded Grade.
To clarify - Purebreds and americans are white paper with blue background.
Experimental and recorded grades are white paper with tan background.
Perhaps the pedigrees of your does are not as you thought?

No, they are either american or purebred. I'm very sure.
The tan paper is more off white... It's only really noticeable when put side by side with the new ones.

Every year the papers change some.
See the marbled background? Several years ago it was actually teeny tiny goats.
When we lost a secretary, for several years after that we had this big black ugly box in the right bottom.
The logo on the top let has changed over time also, just a few years ago it was 2 boxes and 2 texts, now it's a box with a goat in it and ADGA.
Less than 4 years ago there was no pink oval.
In the 90's there was no logo on the top, and the background was diamonds, the papers from back then looked naked
So you can't expect all the papers to look exactly the same. Vicki
