Thumbs down Bullet is dead!!!!!!!!!

I am so depressed. This summer has been so hard now bullet my little guy we wethered is dead. I stake him and his sister out to eat brambles and to wean off of mom. I have done this for the last two weeks. Everthing has always been fine. STUPID ME!!! I ran to town to do some running and i got home got a call one of the goats was out. Told the neighbor its most likely a baby broke the tether rope no biggie Ill go check. and tangled in the 3 point impliment was bullet and he was dead. I cant believe I left them like no big deal.
When I put the dirt on him I cried It was so final. He was my lap goat. He loves to lay on your lap. My kids (two little girls) were just beside themselvs with greef. They are just 5 and 3. My son 9 asked if I could do cpr but I told him he had been dead to long. I feel like crap. My neglect killed him. My 7 yo dd is at a friends and my 5 yo son is with his dad at work so when they get home they are going to freak out.

learn a lesson from me dont teather out your goat then leave. I feel like crap. UUUUUGGGGGG. this sucks. all my baby ducks died. a pig is acting weird. Praying Abby (pig) when she delivers everything will be ok or else im just going to sit and cry. this sucks

We all make mistakes. Please don't beat yourself up! It is a tragedy and I'm so sorry for your loss. Just allow yourself to grieve. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry.
All the what if's of the world won't change it.
You have learned, tho. Now move forward. - after your good cry -
Hang in there. It will get better.
Don't beat your self up. just move forward, your children will look to you for an example.
Hang in there.

I am so sorry.

Hopefully others will learn from your tragedy and not tether their goats.

Please don't beat yourself up over this. You learned a hard, but valuable, lesson.

I'm sorry you had to learn such a hard lesson, but everyone makes mistakes. Goats really seem prone to finding a way to get into trouble and get hurt.

That is so sad. I'm sorry you lost Bullet I'm sure you feel terrible about it and I applaud you for posting what happened. Hopefully it will help someone else learn from your mistake. I can understand how it happened too...we can't be preventing accidents constantly because they do happen. We all have lapses in judgment and make mistakes...we are human. I know the feeling well on wanting to turn back time and get a "do over". But we can't. We have to learn the lesson the hard way (horrible way) and grieve. You will feel terrible for a while...nothing can help that, so just let yourself. Talk about it like you are and that will help. Know that there are many others that have and are going through the same experience so you are not alone. Hugs to you.

I know it has to be hard because I had a baby goat die. I have had lots of chicks ducks and geese die recently. VERY discouraging. Mostly from rain storms. On the bright side though at least you have your other one. I have been dealing with sick goats and more. I know what you are going through. I hope things brighten up for you!
