levasole sheep wormer bolus

anyone use this for lung worm?? says 1 bolus for every 50 lb. so would it be the same for a goat or higher? would you use this every 10 days 3x's? helping a friend..............thanks.......sue

I thought you were supposed to use Ivomec Plus for lung worm.

Sorry, not familiar with the bolus at all.

Plain ivermectin works for lungworm as does Valbazen. In Goat Medicine I believe or it was from Texas A&M the amount of levamisole in these oblets of course for sheep, or so low that the amounts you have to use on goats is harmful for the rumen. Levamisole also comes in a powder which is more concentrated, and we have the doseage up on my site. If your good at math perhaps you can figure out from the dosage of the powder how much of the oblets you can use.

Just a tidbit. Back in the day these were never found except in catalogs because this drug helps a certain form of liver cancer. The pills in human form were super expensive so they purchased these sheep oblets. vicki
