Funny stuff!

So, I have a seven month old (human) girl and a two and a half year old (human) boy. Yesterday I was nursing my daughter when my toddler came RUNNING up to me and said, "Mommy! Faithie is milking you!" We all kind of chuckled...he is really enjoying our goats and loves to help (aka watch) Mama milk.

But today, I was pumping (I am a long-term breastmilk donor) and as I watched the milk come out I thought, "Gosh. I didn't have this much when I had Joey. But then, I was only a first freshener."

Wow. Goats officially dominate every aspect of my life.

LOL!

Actually, I nursed my son until he was 14 months, and my girl will nurse as long as she wants to. I was happy when Joey weaned too...it's definitely neat to see your baby growing up. But it's nice to be able to comfort and nourish them too.

Awww, it is amazing what a spin having children and goats puts on everything, huh? For me, it was super easy explaining where the milk comes from as I'm still nursing my 15 month-old. The kids will say "Amelia has milk in her boob-boobs because she had a baby, but Chloe didn't have a baby so she just has tiny boob-boobs with no milk." LOL!!!!

THANK YOU for being a breast milk donor. My special needs granddaughter is on breast milk from other moms. You are a blessing!

Very big hugs,
Rose
