Question Okay Let's Switch It Breeding Buck Weathered?

I know someone posted about their weathered buckling being truly weathered. Well my breeding bucks things are getting smaller. Doesn't this happen when you band them some certian way? I will be very upset if it's weathered as I bought a Saanen buck for breeding purposes. Plus the lady didn't tell me . Do bucks just do this? I haven't noticed my other bucks getting smaller ever. This is Prince the about 2 month old I am concerned about. I will so not be happy. What do you all think?

Do you think maybe he is getting bigger and his "things" are just not and it's an illusion of getting smaller?

I would call the person you got him from and ask. I know with our little buckling it seems like his "package" is growing much faster than he is.

You really can't miss it if they have been banded. They turn black, shrivel up, and fall off.

The lady is Amish and lives 45 minutes away. So next time I do a poultry run i'll ask. What should I do if she says yes he was banded? She didn't tell me and I do not want a banded buck. I already love him so much though.

If he were banded, then the BAND would still be visible if he has a sack at all.

When the sack falls off the band goes with it, but until then all you have to do is look

IMO Saanen bucklings, (even some Alpines.) Seem to have smaller testes. Compaired to a Boer bucling most are half the size. Ok thats all I have about the bucklings low "udder" (hehehe! )

Patty.
