Our ladies (pics)

To update everyone, our goats have arrived. They've actually been here a bit, but are just now settled in.
We had them tested and their tests were all negative for CL, CAE etc.
Their production dropped from the stress of the move, but we are working on increasing it. Right now we are getting a quart a day, just enough to meet our most basic needs (DS and myself). I hope to get enough for DH as well.
Here are some pictures!
This is Sweetie:

Here is Princess getting love and appreciation from Jackson for giving her milk so willingly:

They are beautiful! And I think I know you from the Mothering Dot Commune boards!

Are they Nigerians? I think little kids and goats are the best combo in the world. I have Obers and my 2.5 year old loves them and thanks them for their milk every day. It's really cute...they are twice his size, and he's out there giving them snuggles.

If you will milk three times per day for a week or so, then cut back to twice, their supply ought to bump back up.

Thanks everyone for the lovely compliments! After all the questions I thought you might like to know how things turned out.

We are doing exactly this! I hope to have great results.

HollyBearFarms: You probably do know me from MDC, your name sounds familiar as well! Both boards are just wonderful.
