what does a hermaphrodite look like?
We have a 5 month old doeling out of a naturally polled goat (she's dairy and meat, I suspect). The doeling is not polled. She has a strange looking vagina. It is very red and sticks out-maybe about the size of a walnut. I know the hermaphrodite gene is linked to the polled gene-but how can you tell? This is a beautiful little doeling out of a Nubian buck-I was hoping to raise her for a milker but she doesn't look right so I'm wondering if I should raise her for dinner.
Thanks,
Harplade
