A wierd question, I know, but its been going on a while....
My alpine pet is sniffing, and wont stop. I wouldnt think anything of it, and I didnt thing anything of it, untill today I realized that it has been going on since it was cold outside. I'm not sure exactly how long that is, a few months, maybe? Now I feel like a terrible goat keeper, not noticing.
She's sniffing in and out. Not always, but every few breaths. She doesnt do it when shes resting, I see. Sniiiiifffffffffff, a breath in, and Snuffff, a breath out.
Her nose has brown, crusty, well, boogers in it. She never has had a runny nose that I could see, however. I tried to clean her nose out (ewwww!!!) with a damp cloth today, but she kept running away.
So why is my goat sniffing?
