Talking Second set of kids for 2008 are here!

I'm a little slow to post this but we are excited to welcome our second set of kids for 2008! Sandy Hollow SS Butterscotch 3*D 2*M gave birth, unassisted, to live twins May 23, 2008! A chocolate buckling with dorsal and dark points and a chocolate San Clemente buckskin doeling, these babies are by Sandy Hollow UK Chesire Cat *S *B. They came just a few days before their projected due date of the 27th. Mom, a fifth-freshener, is doing wonderfully and she is very attentive to her new little ones. Her udder already looks great and even *with* the kids on her, we are getting an extra ~2# (about a quart) of milk a day! It still tastes funny like colostrum, even 2 weeks later, though, so most of it is going in the freezer for emergencies.

I have some pictures on my website (including new shots of some of the others in the herd). If you've visited before, you will want to use CTRL-F5 on each page to force your computer to refresh rather than read the old version from your cache.

Hi Minelson! Thanks for the generous compliments! I am WAY out of the loop here since I have been so busy with our short summer but I am trying to catch up. Hope to read many nice things about you and your goats!
