Need much more info.
Is this a dairy doe? Are you milking her?
Where on the teat is the blister?
How big is it?
What does it look like?

yes! hand milking
left teat, front side and about 1/4 inch to 1/2 in. from the bottom of her teat.
size of an average blister i think.. i'm not good with sizing stuff . its smaller than my pinkie nail and bigger than this O. looks like aregular blister would and has clear as far as i could tell , fluid in it.
we have been drinking her milk raw

You shouldn't ask for free advice as to whether your family should drink the milk or not. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but without being there, come on. How about finding a local goat raiser to come out and take a look...a little bartering could go a long way...More than likely the goat has a piece of wood splinter, thorn or maybe a bug bite...wish you lived closer and I'd come take a look....TJ

Not knowing what it is I would start using chlorhexadine on it.

I have a black boer goat that we milk, and she got a small blister, just a little above her left teat on the bag , it was a blister not big, about the size of a pea(like one you get from a burn) , not a boil not a sore not a cyst, so i cleaned it with iodine scrub, and inside was a rose bush thorn. but I agree with topside, drinking the milk is your decision, and with out seeing the "blister" you just don't know.
but i know my "boo baby" was relieved to get the thing out! it was rubbing the inside of her leg making the thorn go in deeper.
sorry couldn't be of more help.

thats ok, I know I am not very educated when it comes to dairy goats. We are completely new at this. The most local goat raiser here that I know of is about 40 minutes away, we aren't close as friends and our gas prices are at $3.95 a gallon Do you think a picture could help or is it just something you actually have to be there for? I wish you lived closer too. We could use someone who is "goat smart"!
wildhorse, we have been spraying her teats with fight bac after milking, I was thinking thats whats in that? I need to run out and look though to be sure.
thanks manders, dh milked her this am so I will go out and take a closer look to see if i can tell if something is in there.

I know a lot of people would frown at this, but if it looks like a clear blister, like one you get when you get burned, i'd pop it, and scrub it with iodine scrub, then take a look. but thats just me, and what i'd do.
a pic couldn't hurt anything...can you try to get one?

Fire a photo at us, I'd be glad to give you my help if I can. My dairy girls are always getting cuts, blisters and scrapes from browsing in the thickets....love um though...
