CL question

I am still doing research for future goats and came across something I wasn't sure about. CAE and abscess-free, does this mean a possibility of CL but no abscess showing or is CL negative?

I would ask the seller because the meaning is probably relative to the seller's perspective. It might mean that they don't test for CL (seller might not even know the term), or it might mean that there is no abscess and the seller might not want to admit a CL positive test or even a prior history of abscesses. After being in Iraq, GA, and MO, I am getting very disillusioned with the morality of people in general.

I would take "abscess free" to mean that they have never had reckognized clinical signs of cl but they probably don't test. don't be shy about asking specifics from sellers.

Thanks for your answers. Sgian, where in Mo are you located? North, South, East or West? I am just below the MO line near Paragould, in AR. I was wanting kinders but none to be found close. I may have to "make" my own but I want my goats to be disease free. I will be asking all sorts of questions now that I have really decided that I want a few.
