?s on my reject kid

I still havnt named her not good with that but I have a couple of things I want to make sure I have learned right on.
Worming, shes a week old now, should I deworm her and with what? I have some drontel for dogs and cats that is some really good and pretty gentel but dont know if its ok for goats, if not then what should I deworm her with for the first go around?
About how much should a baby gain a week? Im concerned because we are still fighting with the bottle but thats my fault, i let her nurse off my milker but we sold her tonight so I want to make sure shes getting enough, her overall body condition is ok but I can only force about 3 oz into her at a time.
Is there anything else that can cause a goat to break out besides staph?
and lastly, goats are really not good house guest, but I dont have one she can sleep with outside, would she be ok in a smaller dog pen overnight, its in the mid 60s here through the night right now.

Thank you

I would definately not use the wormer for dogs & cats! Did you worm her momma after kidding? and do you milk the mom & feed that to the baby? Are waiting till you wean her to let the new owners take her?

A dog pen is fine. I have often used them for kids.
The temp is fine too.

But as Backfourty said do not use dog or cat wormer on goats!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont worm week old kids.
I never had a reason to.
They are not grazing.
Moms get wormed right after they birth.

To refresh the story, I dont own mom, I went to my goat friends house to look at what she was selling and we couldnt find a twin, who is now the baby Im hand raising.
I have always used goat and horse dewormers on my dogs, thanks for clearing that up. I dont believe mom has been wormed, they just let their goats be, and feed medicated feed. it was unknown if she got any colosturm, the good thing is we only have one other goat thats been here for several months that is healthy so maybe we can get lucky. This baby will never leave here, Im hoping she will stay as well balanced as she seems to be as hopefully we will be able to use her to breed. shes 80% boer and 20% kiko (sp?)
