? about loose horn

Isabella my dear daughters 3 mt old doe has a loose horn. It was bleeding yesterday when she was head butting bullet our little buck 1mt old. I seen her horn were loose a week or two ago when i saw my 7 yo dd yanking on them . I wanted to her but a lesson was given on why you cant do that. NOW before i call the vet for an emergency call on a hoilday weekend. Can we say major money. Can I just wait? It was not bleeding this am. I have a cream on it to keep bugs and flys off it. Can it wait till tuesday? or should I call out the vet now??? Will it reattach itself if it is left alone? Gina Has not worked much with goats and only knows what she reads in books.
TIA

I have never had that happen here but I would say if your using a spray, etc. to keep it from getting infected & keep the flies & bugs off of them that you can wait. I'm just guessing her but I think they will tighten back up but goats butt heads especially young one's like you have, they are just having fun. They must really be hitting hard cause I have never had any goats bleed or loosen horns because of that.
Hopefully someone with experience with the same problem will jump in to help you too.

I just went through this. I suggest flour it packs and kinda makes a paste or clumps. Should keep flies away as I didn't have a problem when I did this. Though I would take her to the vet by Tuesday or Wednesday. It would be wise to get that horn off because if it breaks off the rest of the way it could really bleed and you may not be so lucky to have it stop and may do it in the night. You definantly want no dead goats.
