Talking The Angel has landed

Twins! I went to the barn this morning at 6am and there was a bubble hanging out of Angel. The first one, all black, arrived in the usual way, nose first. The second one, all white, decided to come out back feet first, so I gave that one a bit of a helping hand.

Two lovely little doelings. It looks like they will have airplane ears. Angel is 3/4 Nubian, 1/4 Alpine and the buck is 1/2 Saanen, 1/2 Alpine. So, they're mutts! But that's ok.

I'll try and get pictures after work.

Any suggestions for names? Mother is Angel, father is Elvis. I was thinking maybe Eve and Lilith.

Now that I can see the babies in daylight, and dry - the one I thought was black is actually a beautiful rich dark brown, like black coffee. I've never seen that colour in a goat.

Angel's first kid was a white buckling with "wings" (floppy ears) so he's Gabriel, now a hulking big wether LOL - but very sweet. Don't know too many female "angel" names. Think I'll go with Eve and Lilith. Sorry, not a big Elvis Presley fan!
