Found My Nubian Doeling

A local neighbor keeps Nubians to use to supplement milk for his Boer show goats and for his show pigs. He has 4 Nubian Doelings he will sell for $50.00 each. I think I am going to go and get one. I'd like to have a milk goat that I could use to pull milk from to supplement any bottle babies. I have like age Boer goatlings that need to be weaned for her to grow up with. I'm just torn as to whether to get 1 or 2 at that price, or to buy all 4 and sell them on craigslist.

That is great. It is just Nubian or is it part Boar? Congratulations. How old are they?

Full Nubian and they are about 12 weeks old. Old enough to be weaned as they are eating well on their own. They are in the Kerrville area of Texas if someone else is interested.

Buy at least two. Then you can stagger their breeding to be in milk longer.

That is a ridiculously cheap price.

Are they registered?

I would also ask if they have been tested for CAE, and CL, along with the dam. I would HATE to think they are that cheap because they have either one. I hope and pray that they are totally healthy babies. I bet you are doing the:banana02:

If you are just raising meat babies, the CAE wouldn't matter. They would be slaughtered before it was an issue.

Let us know how many you get and how it goes, YFR.

I believe she said she was using them for milk.
