Who went to the show in West Plains, MO?
I saw and visited with a couple HT'ers that I already knew there.......don't think I met any new ones. It had a great day. Small show, nice goats, great people.
I took two Lamancha yearling milkers for my twin sisters to show for fun(not an ADGA sanctioned show) and they took GCH and RGCH. Then we showed the three Nubian doelings that I had for sale and they took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, GCH and RGCH in their class. So we made enough in prize money to pay for their entry fees, gas money, lunch and a bit left over. It was fun!! Got to talk to and visit with a lot of friends.
Anyone else there that I should have known??

We too had a great time.. watching the show, talking goats, catching up with old friends, making new ones!... I was wondering if anyone else from HT made it to the show... &... did we talk to you? not knowing you a member here?
Emily, did you hear if Joan made it home & unloaded safe & sound? Thought I should check on her, but if you've heard from her.. I won't worry.

Let me know if you get ahold of her. I sent her an email Saturday night.. still haven't heard back.... I'm just sitting here (with free long distance) I might as well call her now..
((okay, tried calling her..got her machine... hmmmm... let me know if you catch her. I left a message telling her we were both wondering if she got home okay))

I was there. Course you two knew that cause I talked to both of you. Brought my 4 milkers. 3 2year olds and a 4 year old. My three two year olds went 1,3,4 in a class of six . And my 4year old was in a class by herself. She went Reserve under Joans Moon doe though so I was proud of her. We sanctioned Nubians, LaManchas, and I think Alpines not for sure. And I don't know about the AOP. on the ADGA show. I had a good time visiting. Had to leave early to fry fish for my Moms Birthday though. Wish I could have stayed for Jrs.

How was the fish? Did you mom enjoy it? (she's such a sweet lady. I really enjoyed talking to her) .... Wish you could have stayed around. Joan did really well with Pretty in Jrs.

We were there for a little while and watched a few classes. We were really impressed with the judge - especially since we don't know anything about dairy goats. She explained her choices very well. Was hoping to see more meat goats there. Guess that's our own fault - we could have taken some of ours!

We were there early, hung around, admired the goats, talked to Emily, met a few new folks. Yarrow, did we leave before you got there?
We saw a REALLY fine Alpine buckling, but he was sold.
I'm too shy to walk up to very many folks I don't know.

hmmm.. maybe you left before we got there? We pulled in about 9:20 (had to get everyone milked & the milk poured up, before we could go) We were sitting in the bleachers with Coso & his family most of the morning. We stayed until 3 or so, that afternoon. Watched all the judging. Really liked the gal who was the judge in the ADGA part of the show. We'll probably start showing a little, at a few shows each year. Sorry we missed you.
