The Doelings...

are getting bigger! These are my three doelings out of my CAE positive does that I butchered a few months ago. I thought I'd get some good pics of them before I tattooed them - they look pretty silly with green all over, now. Such a MESSY job! I know they're not set up the best, but you get the idea... It's hard to get good pictures of rowdy 9 week olds that have never had a collar on and have never been expected to hold still, lol. Their front legs are all set way forward, because they all were resisting. I'm pretty excited about them, what do you all think? Their pedigrees can all be seen here.

This is Brigid, out of Hawthorn Heritage Heidi and by Alpine Vallys PVA Irving.

These two are Flora (light chamoisee) and Viva (Dark chamoisee with black and cream trim). They are out of Cozy-Hollow INT Riverdance and by Pearl Valley's Golden Ace.

I miss their dams so much, and I'm glad to have gotten these girls out of them. They're spoiled rotten.

Absolutely beautiful. Nice confirmations too from what I can see. Just lovely. I bet you are proud of them.

O.K. You did it again! I started crying when I saw your babies and then went to your site. It's hard when you know that someones indifference caused someone else sooo much pain. You absolutely have some beautiful babies and please hug them for all of us. Gee wiz, I'm tearing up again! You are not good for me.

It does still feel weird not to be calling their dams into the milk room. I have two FF French alpines now, due anytime, that I have been feeding in the milk stand and practicing/training them to be tolerant of milking. Just yesterday I called Babe in for her feeding, and called her Dance... And every once in a while I'll call for them, especially when I'm in the milk room.

And for whatever reason, I can't seem to get as attached to my new Frenchies. I like them well enough - behaved, GORGEOUS, my shadows that follow me everywhere and worry over me. But, they're not Dance and Heidi. I plan on painting and redoing most of my milkroom this summer, and will be doing something in their memory in there.

I would LOVE to take these babies to shows this summer but since they're not tested I won't be taking them. Hopefully next year they'll see the show ring for the 1st time - and maybe I can afford LA, too!
