Bob Cats

Im guessing thats what I heard a little too close close for comfort tonight, it sounded kinda like a baby tiger cub does when its calling out is the best way to describe it. We live in a heavy wooded area very tucked away from every one.

What concerns me is will they kill a young goat as I think they will? Not 30 min after we heard him move out the coyotes started in, my husband put a bullet in a tree and that shut them up, heck it shut up everything. Will e fence keep a bob cat out?

Im very much aware that both are chicken killers so I have that to worry about tonight.

What kind of fence? It would take a very tight and very high fence to keep a bobcat out. You'd do better with something like field fencing to slow it down and electric to stop it.

My turkey raiser friends used to have a horizontal board about 6" off the ground on their turkey pasture fence. It stuck out about 18" from the fence on the outside so that coyotes couldn't dig under the fence without getting zapped on the back. The coyotes solved the problem by sitting 100 yards out. The curious turkeys would fly over the fence for a better look.
