my new goats

2 sets of twins this week. yay!

a boy and a girl each of toggenburg, and 3/4 alpine, 1/4 toggenburg.

If anyone is interested, the pure togg buckling is or will be for sale, as soon as he is transitioned to a bottle. he is a very dark chocolate. will that color stay dark, or will it lighten up? neither of the parents are that dark.

anyway, make offer on him. He is registerable.

also, is it weird when does share kids? or is that normal?

Congrats on the new arrivals!

You have does that SHARE kids? Huh! MY does butt each others' kids away. I've heard of does sharing kids, so it's not unheard of. Just not usual, I think.

You know we need to see pictures, right?

I have had mine do it. Not really the best idea until they are a little older...could cause rejection by both. But many times I have seen a kid just grab the nearest udder and nurse. Whether it is allowed or not depends on the doe.
