Lumps above teats

Our new mother goat. She had babies three weeks ago and has not been fun to milk or let her baby nurse. I noticed tonight when I was milking her that she had large lumps above both teats on the outside of her udder. I checked our other very pregnant nubian and didn't feel any lumps. Any idea what this could be. She hasn't given as much milk lately either. Is this mastitis?

It could be staph. or the babies have irritated her udder when they are feeding.

What steps do I take to treat staph? Should I be giving her penicillin?

Chlorhexadrine spray or liquid. You can get it at the feed store or from the vet. I think the spray is Fight Bak. Black and white spray can.http://animalmedicstore.stores.yahoo...bacbydeep.html
