No signs of kidding!

So...my nubian is at 150 days today and is showing no signs of being preggo except some edema, which may or may not be related to pregnancy. The front of her udder looks a bit fuller but i'm not sure if that's 'bagging up' or an extension of her edema. She's really swollen behind her front legs inparticular.

Her vulva shows no change, looks a bit wider but that could be wishful thinking and like i said, no real bagging up. She's laying down more lately. Eating and pooping fine, UTD on worming, etc.

My question is: At what point do i say "OK, there's no babies there" and #2 What could be causing that swelling besides pregnancy?

I could make myself crazy over this!

Nubians go on 150 days, pretty much like clockwork. If she was bred and is 150 days pregnant you would see an udder full of milk.

Did she get injured or bitten?

Can you snap a picture of the swellings?

Was she in with the buck or around a buck after the breeding you saw December 8th?

Are you out in the barn delivering kids? vicki

No, Dec. 8th was it. Buck left here on Dec. 10th or 11th, I think. She had very obvious heat signs, trying to mount him, yelling, flagging, etc.. No heat signs after that.

No bites or injuries that I know of and the swelling is even on both sides. It's dark now so I'll snap a few pics tomorrow.

I called the vet and he said it could be a heart problem if it's not pregnancy related. She is almost 7 and kidded 2 years ago with twins, no complications.

It's a puzzle!

I had a doe go on day 154 this year & all was fine. the kids are now 4 days old & jumping around like all the rest. I hope your doe is OK & just running a little late.
Let us know what happens?

A heart problem could be a possibility. Last year one of the people in our local goat club lost a doe as she gave birth due to a heart problem that they didn't know about. IIRC, she was a first freshener and had something like half of a normal heart -- she did fine until kidding placed extra stress on that small heart. Doesn't sound like what you've got, but just to say that goats can have things like that.
