What was wrong with these goats?

We were driving down a back road today and had to stop while a large herd of goats crossed the road moving from one pasture to another.

Something was wrong with the front legs of some of them. It's hard to describe, but they were kind of high stepping with their front legs. The legs looked kind of stiff or wooden.

I've had goats a few times, but I don't recall ever seeing any do that.

My guess would be feet problems. Hoof rot or abcesses.

Were their hind legs rigid? If so they were Fainting goats, otherwise they had hoof problems.

I'm betting they needed their feet trimmed.

No, the hind legs were not rigid. It was only a few that were having the front leg problem.

They were pure white and looked like Saanens.
