Wanted to share the news

First I'd like to say, thanks to everyone here. I haven't posted at this forum yet, but I've been reading for a while...yeah, lurking. There's a great deal of information and all of what I wanted to post about I found in searches. Now I have something to post!
We've bought our first goats. They're Saanen/Oberhasli crosses, one doe, one doeling, out of the same herd but not mother/daughter. I'm very excited and loving it right now (ask me again when I'm sick and it's time to milk). My aunt (who did much of my raising) had Nubians so it's not completely new, but being the responsible one for the first time is a little daunting.
I have a lot of fond memories of my time with the goats and kids, it's been fun to watch my kids making those memories too.

So here are the pics, these were taken right after they got here Saturday.

In the forefront is Becca, background is Greta. This is the best pic I could get of Becca, she kept coming over for scratches.

For some reason or other I am only seeing one picture and that is of a white goat with a green colar. Very pretty.

Oh well when I went back the other picture poped up ? Any way they are both very pretty. Love the horns, I think it completes the goat.

Welcome, we'll see how many goats you have in a year or 2. They are addictive, and alot of fun and work, but we love them.
