Question Question on prices of goats

Hey all,
I was looking on craigslist and found two pack wethers (Alpine and Oberhausly) for $150.00 each...is this a good price for pack wethers? I asked the guy a few questions and I am awaiting a reply.
I was just wondering if anyone knew what are good prices and what prices are too high, and what makes the goats not worth it or worth it, depending on the price.

Thank you!

-Rebecca

I have seen trained pack goats for close to $300 and up, so I would say that is a good price. I would make sure that they have been tested and vacinated for everything. A good pack goat has usually been bottled fed, will follow you without a lead and gets along with other animals, not afraid of other animals and doesn't make a lot of noise while out packing...
