Baby Stolen
I saved a baby a week this past friday by giving vit d fortified cause it was so weak. Well, it was doing so good and i have both outside and had to pick up a friends child from school cause he had a head ache. When I came back my baby was gone. I have looked everywhere and had 4 other people here as well to help and I telling you someone came in 30 minutes and took my baby. but,, what they didn't know was it was sick and they can't possible raise it without goat milk and her shots!! I'm boiling about this and who ever got her is going to get it back! You just don't do people like this! My heart is broke and I just hope that she makes it. but, I don't think she will she was doing so good compaired to when I found her in the rain last friday. She was growing and stronger but, she didn't stay with the other cause she couldn't keep up with it. Anyway they only took the one. I'm so mad!! All I have of her is a picture now..

I am so sorry.... I feel your anger... frustration, your expectation for others.... I do hope you get her back. Was there any way a predator could have gotten in the pen? they do choose the weaker ones....

I feel your anger too! I hate thieves!
Did you file a police report? You might want to put up posters and offer a reward if possible. That would alert the locals to be on the lookout. Maybe someone saw something.

I had some jerks steal 3 geese last summer and I think they beat one to death a few nights before. I was hot and it's probably good that I didn't catch them.
Is there any chance the kid is hiding? They can crawl into tiny places.

This was my thought, also. While it's possible that the kid was stolen (we had a bunch of half-grown meat chicks stolen right out of our yard one time while we were at church), it's also possible that it's hiding and/or stuck. One time I found a newborn kid at the bottom of a post hole -- I'd heard the mother crying, went out to look, found her with goop out her hind end, but no baby. We looked for an hour for that kid -- the post hole wasn't even in the pasture, it was about forty feet from the fence! They can get through, and into, spaces so small it's hard to believe they could fit.

ETA: the kid who fell into the post hole was fine, once we got him out and warmed up.

Every year around day 3 I have to go hunting for babies. I usually find them under the barn. Mind you I am not skinny and these guys make it very hard to shimmy under the building about 20 feet. Looking at it you would not think they would fit, but they do. i have even lined up big rocks to fill in the gaps but all that does is mean I need to move the rocks so I can fit.
Get the flashlight out and search every single inch of pasture and beyond

I let them know it was sick an had to keep it for a while to see that it gets ok. So I know it's gone.

Could you have "forgotten" to give them something with the puppy and go check?
I hate to suggest it, but I know how frantic I was when someone stole a kitten last year. The farm I was working at had kittens for adoption, but they had to steal one.

Dog Bite
Chicken Hawks,, I'd rather think that but..no I do beleave that it's a person that has came here and was to come back thurday morning and I do beleave she did with come me gone. She had already begged for these 2 does and I told her this one is sick after it gets better I'll sell her. But, I just know someone got it. To top all this off I went to CoOp yesterday to get feed. Went inside and paid brought my ticket oiutside tpo get loaded and there was a man took my ticket and took off to get my feed. While he was gone this little dog jumped up and bite the stuff out of my leg right under the left knee. Right through my pants. I had 3= 25 in dog collars in hand and my purse on my shoulder and was jumping up and down GET THIS DOG OFF ME!! The guy that took my ticket ask me not to say anything cause the guy it belongs to will get fired. I really am mad about this but I know he needs a job. Look I'm making a trip there this morning and if the dog of there I'm going inside to tell what happened yesterday. My leg is black and blue and the skin wasn't broke but have you ever brought your dog to work with you? anyway they have cameras there an they can look at it. I have bought feed there for years and I will go inside and tell the man that owns the place. They know I want keep my mouth shut about anything. Thing is what you spend hard money on that's what you want not a different thing an they know this with me. They have brought and swapped out feed they loaded by mistake. What would you do about the dog?

I would report the dog bite. I cant' stand dogs that bite people and the business owner is very lucky it didn't bite someone that is going to sue his pants off!

Ditto. If you know you dog is a jerk (which I'm sure the guy does!), keep it confined, or better yet, put the little knee-biter down before it rips some kids face off. But if you have a lick of sense, you sure don't leave it run loose in a public place. I'd report it to animal control.

I wouldn't keep my mouth shut about a dog bite. The owner can't afford to lose his job, so he certainly can't afford the liability of having his dog kill a child, so the business owner would be sued. Both the dog's owner and the business owner need to know they have a vicious dog running loose in a business that is open to the public.
