Milking question thoughts on this please

I was thinking of recycling some of the large gallon plastic Ice cream buckets for use in milking
they can be washed in the dishwasher so they can be steralized .(they fit in the dishwasher better than my current stainless milk pail)
they have plastic lids so they would keep yuckies out when walking from the Barn to the house .
If they started to get worn out there is always new ones to replace them .
So what do you think? Any other pro's or Cons please don't hesitate
I would not store the milk in them just use them to milk into

The only drawback I can think of is the handle could break depending on how much milk you're carrying? Other than that, good thinkin'!

They are not sturdy and thier handles break. Pick em up too full and they wobble and spill, dousing everything around in a gallon of milk. After a while, you have to get rid of anything plastic because they can cause off flavors.

Stainless steel is a once in a life time investment, and lasts forever.

Plastic Buckets

I have used plastic bucket that we but icecream in for years. They are light and fit under the nanny well. We have never had milk with an off taste using them. They are just the thing when training a new girl to milk. Y ou can hold the bucket with one hand and milk with the other. If your fast enough you can get the container out of way of the foot when they get antsy.
