Unhappy Trouble again w/preg doe

I have a 3yr due the 30th. Looked off yesterday a little blotted maybe?
Gave her some oil and baking soda.Looked better last night. This morning she doesn't look bloated but is feeling bad. not very intersted in hay, ate her alfalfa pellets. Temp is high 105.2. Has a little clear disschargs from her nose and one eye. but some nfz in eye.
her udder is filling fast and she just seems in pain? doesn't seem to be in labor . Any ideas? Trying to decide if I should start penn because of the fever? She is up to date on her shots and not wormy

I can't help with the fever but I do remember thinking Gretta had bloat a few times when she was getting farther along in her pregnancy. She was off like you said, but I never took her temp and I think she was just so uncomfortable with babies and food all packed in her little body. Hopefully someone else will chime in about the penn....

Tap her tummy side and see if it sounds like a balloon/drum. If it does, she's bloated. If it thumps or feels like a full tummy, then she's just full.

She might have ketosis - Get some propylene glycol or NutriDrench and start her on a regimen.

In this case it's just hard to tell what might be wrong with her... the fever confuses me.

I wouldn't give pen. myself until I knew what's wrong with her, but if that's all you've got and no access to a food vet, I'd say do what you gotta do!

Can you all hear my sigh of relief
Vet was here. she said acute eye infection.Pain and unseasonably warm weather caused the temp. she's way better tonight
Up eating happily. Her udder has tripled in size today also so I think she might go early No sleep for the weary

I am so glad for you both. The problems that arise so close to due dates can make you so nervous. So happy she is feeling better and hope you'll have some little ones soon.
