Ack! Advice Please...

So I woke up this morning and my FF's ligaments are totally gone. Her udder has swollen up and is tight. Last week she had some goo but that has totally gone away now. How long you think she has? Should I be on kid watch now? Im notorious for spending weeks waiting for various critters to be born

She is getting ready to kid and if she was one of mine I would be watching her very close right now.
She is probably already in early labor.

Good luck! Let us know.

Hey Countrygrl,

Sound like you are going to have babies today! When I went out this last Monday eveing my FF doe had the thick white goo and was making quite little goat noises to me. By the time I went to the house and got towels and blankets and came back out she was starting to have contractions. Within an hour we had a baby buck and then a doe. Good luck to you. We will look forward to baby pictures.

She's definately uncomfortable, just walking slowly around in her pen not wanting me to touch her which is unlike her, usually she wants her head scratched all day.

Well Im off to watch her again...I will let you all know if there are any changes. Thanks!!

Make a pot of coffee.

Boil water.

Stack the towels.

Put a lawn chair out there.

Get a book.

Turn your back for two seconds.

POOF! Babies.

Let nature take its course....enjoy the miracle of it.

Try not to interfere too much if you want nanny to raise her own. As long as 4 hours to nurse on their own. Be patient.

Im still waiting...anxiously She is going potty frequently and is having short contractions (at least Im assuming their contractions, she arches her back and looks like she's trying to go potty) about every 5 minutes. The goo is gone again and she is very restless.

Thanks everyone

Sue

TWIN DOES!!! :banana02: She kidded at 2:50pm. I will post pictures once I get a chance to upload them.

Mama is a little unsure what to do. She licks and talks to them but isnt too thrilled about letting them nurse. Any suggestions?

Sue

Yup, stand next to her, hold her collar, push her against the wall, guide babies into position.
