Kids! Finally born!

Yukiko kidded at about 3:00 am today, 3 days late. she had two beautiful, healthy and HUGE bucks without assistance. I'm gratefull for the healthy babies, but c'mon, 2 bucks? This doe has had 2 sets of trips and 1 set of quads, 4 girls and 3 boys. She's never had twins, not even her first year. Oh well. But these boys are really, really big! I shouldnt have sold Heather, who kidded 2 weeks ago at the buyers house with trips, 2 does and a buck. lol The irony!

Heres some pics. They're a couple of little angels! Have any ideas for names? I kinda like David and Gabriel, but I have to see if those names fit them.

Look how BIG they are!

Aww! Little angels! I had to put them under a heat lamp for a while, they were shivering a bit. It was pretty frostly last night, but its sposed to get into the low 40's today.

Very cute. They look like mine. My Saanen cross did the same thing yours did, had two little twin boys.

They are adorable! I know what you mean about bucklings, I had two sets of twins born last week and all four are bucklings. Oh well.....I wasn't going to keep any of them anyway, three large goats is about all I can house around here. I just figured the does would sell easier.

I weighed them a few hours ago, and they are 11 LBS EACH!!! 11 lbs!!! wow! Gabe is exactly 11lb, and his unamed brother is 11lb and 4 ounces. HUGE!!!

I do love the name Michael, but I have 2 cousins and an uncle named Michael (my family's no good with names!) who I see alot, so it would be more confusing than it already is! Plus, there's Michael Corleone; I am a big Godfather fan, and Sicilian too! But I dont think I'm gonna go with Michael.

I was considering Eli, Keanu, Antonio, Nigel, Carl, Kyle, Sean, Charlie, Seth, Zeth, Caleb, Oliver, Gunther, Calvin, and Simon.

I'd really like them to have a sister! I was saving the name Mariucci for this year! Oh well, next year, I guess.

Hee Hee, my sister wanted to name him Jamal, spelled "Jah'mol". I dont think he's really a "Jah'mol", or a Jamal, for that matter.

I've decided that the best thing for twin boys (especially big, strong ones!) would be to be wethered, trained to pack or pull a cart, and sold to a loving family. But I dont think that'll happen, sighhh. I'm gonna be looking around, though. Yukiko is my only doe freshening this year, so my tiny kidding season is officially over. I miss my other does, who I sold the other year. Then it would have been lots of kids.

Congrats! on the nice looking little boys! I like Gunther or Oliver, and Gilbert, Grady, Amos or General.
Looking forward to warmer weather in my neck of Michigan too!
