Is this normal after disbudding?

Today I disbudded a 3 day old Nubian buck kid. I held the iron on for 5 seconds, iced the one side for a few minutes while the iron re heated, did the other side, iced and re heated, re turned to side one, 5 more seconds, iced, re heated, back to side 2, iced. I then used the burner to pop the cap off and then hit the center of where the cap was again for a second or 2. Afterwords there was a couple of drops of blood. I had nice copper rings and also had the cap off so I'm guessing I did a pretty good job. Is it normal to have a few drops of blood from time to time? Does any blood mean I didnt get everything good enough??

Sounds like you did good, but where was the blood? Blood means that for some reason an area didn't cauterize... if I get any fluids or blood I reburn for a couple seconds to ensure it's cauterized.
