Anyone use those Fly Predators for fly control?

I was thinking about getting some of those fly predator flys that are supposed to feed off of fly larvae. Has anyone use those? If so what can you say about them. I figured I better be ordering soon but just didn't know if they would work very well. Anybody?

We use them. This will be our second year - we were happy with them last year. The only worry we had was our free range chickens eating the predator larvae, but I guess they had better things to eat.

I used them a few years ago in AZ because we lived next door to some rodeo ropers that had 20 head of cattle practically right outside our back door and they weren't the cleanest about keeping their stalls neat so boy did we have a fly prob I ordered twice as many predators as I needed to start and then the reccomended amt after that we barely had any flies in the house that year

I will have two adult Guineas and maybe some keets this year. Since they are supposed to be VORACIOUS bug eaters, will they gobble up predatory insects and larvae?

Had them last year, but it was a really wet summer - survival rate of the fly larvae is too great when it is wet. Haven't ordered any this year and the fly problem is well under control - of course it has been quite dry. We will see as the summer progresses.

Yes, they are really good on ticks and all sort of pesky bugs and they don't bother your garden produce. I'm just not sure if they will eat the good bugs too. But just to warn you, the 2 I have in my barn could make one deaf if you stayed in there long enough. They are incredibly loud when they sound their alarm. If anyone comes in my barn other than me, they will carry on for several minutes and it is head pounding loud!!!!!! My family hates them, but I like them. They sure are interesting critters. My male is so chivalrous. He always lets the female eat first and he patrols back and forth while she eats. How romantic.

I vote YES for the fly predators by Spalding. Used it last year and was very impressed. I'm ordering again this year. Just make sure to order every month...I screwed up towards the end of the fly season and missed a dose and really noticed the difference...
