Raw Milk legislation in progress - Alaska
Alaska is currently having a legislative session and there is a bill in the works to legalize the sale of raw milk. It is House Bill 367 and last I was informed, it had left the Resources Committee and was in the Finance Committee. It still needs to go through the Senate committee process too and we aren't sure it's going to happen this year in our newly shortened 90-day session, but it's something of note, anyway.
Here is the bill text:

Here is the bill status:

Representative Mark Neuman is the sponsor of the bill and also should receive a copy of any correspondence you may submit:

Until the law is changed, the only legal way to obtain fresh, raw milk from goats or cows is to own and maintain your own animal. Shares, condos, etc. are illegal because the law currently states raw milk cannot even leave the farm in its natural state!
Thank you for supporting our local farmers and the freedom to make informed decisions about where we wish to acquire our healthy foods!
