CAE testing question.

Well I sent off our goats colostrum to have it tested at PAV labs in TX. We got the results back yesterday and it is NEGATIVE! YIPPEE right?

Some of you might remember we took her into the vet a few months ago and they drew blood and tested and it was positive. Which do I believe?

I never got any paperwork from the vet. She never said where she sent it or what kind of test it was.

I got back a paper from PavLabs with the results and they did the ELISA test. Which one is supposed to be more accurate?

YEAH FOR THE NEGATIVE. I get to send in our other does colostrum on Monday.

Yeah for the Neg!!
I would really call and find out where and what the last tests were done. That is odd. ELISA is supposed to be best. I would call and talk to the technicians at the lab or labs. Let us know what you find out. What if my + is not really a + ?? But I don't see how that can ever be?

My vet puts very little store in the milk or colostrum tests. Says they are pretty much a waste of money.
If your first test was an ELISA test (the majority of blood tests are), I would go by that one, but I would still re-test via blood.
Good luck!
