Question Is This Normal?

My goat kidded Feburary 28th and still has stuff coming out. The little one is 2 weeks and a day old. When will she stop? It is clear and gooy. She passed the placenta. Is it possible she could still have another kid in their? I'm sure if she did it would be dead. She acts fine though.

You're still in the normal range. I've had does be 'dried' back there in a few days, and some that continued to 'clean up' for a month. If she's looking fine, and acting fine, no temp, etc, she's just doing a little 'house cleaning'.

I call that the "self cleaning oven" - as long as there's no bad smell, it's pretty normal.

She just does not want to dry up so far. How long should I wait to see if she stops? What if it is 4 weeks is she okay or should I be concerned?

I have a goat that kidded Feb 29 and is still got a bit of a mess. It's normal. I know it's easy to say don't worry, but don't worry.

If :
it starts to smell bad
it starts to look like anything other than blood discharge
she runs a temperature
she goes off her feed

or anything else that might truly signal a problem besides the discharge, THEN worry. Discharge is very normal and can last 3 or 4 weeks sometimes, or be light and not last very long at all.

Cooking Pam, I'll only admit this once... ROTF... I asked the same question myself at one time.

We care so much about these guys, and well, that particular thing can be scary if you don't know it's normal.
