Di-methox how long?

I have read past posts about Di-Methox as a preventative, that said 1/2 cc twice a day for 5 days when the kids are 2-3 weeks old and then 1/2 cc once every week until weaned. Is 1/2 cc all that is needed unitl they are weaned. The kids would be a lot bigger wouldn't they need more? Also, we had one goat that would start weaning hers at about 3 months and another that would let hers nurse until they 7-8 months old. How long do the kids need it, in months. Thanks in advance.

i start the kids on di-methox 40% when they are 20 days old. first day is 1cc per 10# body weight, next four days is 1/2 cc per 10#. i repeat every 20 day counted from the last day till they are about six month old.
