Milk potential of a FF?

HI.

I am selling one of my FF Nubian does. She freshened 4 weeks ago. The man who is interested asked me how much milk she might potentially give. I told him she was giving about a half gallon a day right now. She comes from a very solid milk line and should produce more as she goes along as the weather warms and she nears her peak. Also she should give more milk next year and in subsequent years. But how much more?

What kind of milk production in general would you expect from a pure Nubian with a really good line--considering the other factors I mentioned above?

I'm asking in case there's a more definitive answer I can give him but also for myself. I have only FF's and experienced does who have kidding here for the first time. I don't have any of my own FF from last year that have freshened here again yet.

Thanks,

Dee

FF-1/2 to 3/4 gallon per day.
Sec F-3/4 to 1 gallon per day.
This holds true for nearly every goat I own....hope this helps...
