Many Goats!!

I am so excited... and I am laughing about this (and so are many friends)

We had (and were very happy with) 3 dairy/meat crosses (bred), and our 4 lil nigerians.... but Friday I was bored and browsing through Craigslist and found an ad for 47 goats....

By Saturday the guy realized he didn't really want to get rid of all his goats (understandable) and we came up with 24 goats that he was willing to sell at a great price... 10 does with 14 kids at their side. They are mostly all crosses and that I can deal with. Drove down Saturday afternoon (after freezing my butt off at the farmer's market in the morning) and picked them up!

We went completely picture crazy yesterday as we were doing stuff - of course some of it is for our records - especially since the lil ones are from 2 well known bucks (Bingo & Solomon) who I am waiting on copies of their papers... PLUS we get to start milking!! WOO HOO!!!
