this may be a dumb question....

Can goats eat nuts? I know they can eat peanuts, but I have a bunch of mixed nuts leftover (walnuts, chestnuts, almonds) all in shells. Are these okay for goats? Or should I throw them out to the birds or squirrels or whatever else will eat them? I just hate to waste them.

I don't think this is a dumb question at all. I looked on the Fias website and didn't see anything about nuts. I guess it's just important not to feed too much of anything new. They may be too hard for them to crack open I'm thinking....Sorry, not very much help form me I guess
