Question stubborn bottle baby--help!

i have a 10 day old buckling that we bought as a bootle baby. He was on his mom with supplemental feedings of the bottle to get him used to it.
He refuses the bottle.I have changed nipples, tried pritchards and lamb nipples (larger-- I have changed formula, from formula to straight cows milk, I'm about ready to try replacer to see if he will like that. I know all the bad things about replacer, but i need to get him to eat. He munches on hay, is active, is peeing fine. I havent seen much poo so i gave him about 2 cc of Milk of magnesia to get things moving there. He will suck just a bit and then just clamp down on the nipple with his teeth and sit there.Im getting maybe 2 oz a feeding down him and thats mostly just forcing into his mouth and making him swallow. Ive never had a bottle baby that didnt attack the bottle and suck like, well you know.lol. Ive tried letting him not eat for like 8 hrs and it makes no difference, he refuses
i need quick advice, ive never tubed before and i dont want it to come to that. but if it does, i need advice on that too please/

I had to use human baby bottles for my bottle baby. She would not take anything else at all. Try that, you just have to make sure the hole is large enough to get a good amount out if it but no to much.
Have you made she that the nipples you are using now have a large enough hole?
I would maybe add a little molasses or Karo syrup on the nipple also.

Have you tried putting his head under a warm towel and tickling the base of his tail to simulate nursing from momma?

We hold ours and use human baby bottles. You can always put something like honey, molasses or syrup on the nipple. That helps. Leave feed and hay out for him too, it sounds like he had already started tasting what Momma was eating.

Good luck!

Baby bottle. Cows milk, whole from the store.
Make the hole bigger by cross cutting so the milk comes out easy and fast.

Force it by holding the kid and just squirting it with that nipple in.

I had one like that.
I could only force 2-3 oz down, 3 times per day.
He was the same age too.
Finally after a week, I figured he would die at this rate.
I gave him 4mil of power punch each day.
B complex each day, orally.
I didnt want him to weaken.

One day I didnt even bother with him till 4 in the afternoon.
I was so disgusted with the whole thing.
The forcing, the mess, the fighting to hold him still.
I had had it.

He obviously got very hungry by 4pm.
I couldnt just leave him, I had to try some more.
He just started sucking when I shoved that bottle in!!!!
For the first time, I didnt have to hang on to him in order to keep the nipple in his mouth, and he sucked 4 oz all by himself!!!

Now, a week later he is hooked on his bottle and eats as good as the others.

Watch for constipation.
I have noticed on store cows milk some of the kids get constipated a few times. Its no big deal and not often for me.

That's good news!

Animal instinct plays an important role in survival. When I feed train certain fish I have to follow the rules or they will just sit there watching the feed sink to the bottom and starve to death. If I present the feed in a different way they eat it all.
