Hormonal Saanen

Do any of your does get cranky while in late pregnancy? My ff saanen doe is being rotten lately
sometimes she wants petted sometie not. My friend came over the other night and she raised her hackles and tried to butt her had through the fence. What a brat! she knows who my friend is. Otherwise Vi (the saanen) is a very sweet girl. I mean I know irritability is normal in human pregnancies I just wondered if any of your goats did this. It's a first for me to see it...

Yep! Some of mine get quite cranky in late pregnancy. In fact, with one doe, it's how I know she's ready to kid - LOL!

Very normal. They almost always change personalities...the shy ones get sweet, and the sweet ones get bossy. Cows do the same thing.

OK, and I thought I had the only hormonal late pregnant saanen...so it seems to be the normal case she has become the witch with a "B". She won't even look at me ! She has been so cranky lately, hope she hurries and has the kids so she can be her sweet self again.
